12 Characters That Make Us Want to Punch Our Television Screens

$

They may appear on some of our favorite shows, and they may even have their shining moments.

Overall, though, they sort of make us want to throw our television sets out the window.

It's rarely the faults of the actors or actresses behind these characters, it's just that they don't belong on the show in the first place. Or they're worn out their welcome. Or they just... won't... stop.... whining.

These irritating individuals are lawyers, witches and super agents; they are young and they are old. But they have one thing in common:

They are super annoying! Flip through the following photo gallery and decide if you agree with us and/or who you would add to this list from across the TV dial:

12 Characters That Make Us Want to Punch the TV
Consider us proud members of Team Felicity. Laurel is more often than not a (very pretty) thorn in Oliver's side.

Laurel Lance

1. Laurel Lance

Consider us proud members of Team Felicity. Laurel is more often than not a (very pretty) thorn in Oliver's side.

Skye

2. Skye

Skye is new to the Agents of SHIELD team. But we're sort of sick of her being used as a conduit for the audience when it comes to explaining how this universe works.

Dr. Alan Farragut

3. Dr. Alan Farragut

Dr. Alan Farragut acts like the man in charge on Helix. But he doesn't seem to actually really now anything.

Charlotte Grayson

4. Charlotte Grayson

Revenge has already rid us of Declan. Can't his ex-girlfriend be next?

Alexis Castle

5. Alexis Castle

From bringing home Pi to sleep on the sofa for weeks on end without ever asking if it's okay... to slamming the door in her father's face when he came to apologize... Alexis is experiencing major growing pains.

Ted Mosby

6. Ted Mosby

When did this lovable goofball become such an annoying whiner? If he's not lamenting about not finding the love of his life, he's see-sawing over whether or not he and Robin should try and make it work again.

Bonnie Bennett

7. Bonnie Bennett

Has Bonnie Bennett smiled in three seasons? This Vampire Diaries character is either moping or swooping in with random spells to save the day.

Scarlett O'Connor

8. Scarlett O'Connor

Scarlett has a whiney little girl voice, can't handle the career she chose... now she's getting addicted to speed. She also dared to yell at Connie Britton!

Evan Lawson

9. Evan Lawson

Evan Lawson of Royal Pains has really been wearing on us the past few seasons. He just never seems to grow up or get any smarter.

Coach

10. Coach

We all love Damon Wayans Jr. But just because he appeared on one episode of New Girl a long time ago doesn't mean we want him back on a full-time basis, disrupting our favorite loft.

Girls

Yup, every single Girl. Can someone remind us why these people are friends again?

Book 'Em: 16 TV Characters Who Should Be Arrested for Scene Stealing

You'll recognize their faces. You might even wonder why they're on this list. After all, a lot of them are the reason you watch your favorite shows in the first place.

But you know why? Because they're scene stealers!

They might have just signed on for one or two episodes (we're looking at you, Emily Bett Rickards) but their screen presence was so powerful their characters became a reason to watch. Who can imagine Arrow without Felicity Smoak?!?

What would The Walking Dead be without Daryl, who wasn't even in the comics on which the show was based? The character was created specifically for Norman Reedus after he auditioned for Merle! Precious Norman as crusty Merles? No way. He stole our hearts as Daryl.

Get out the handcuffs and find out who else should be taken to task for Hollywood robbery. Agree? Disagree? Hit the comments with your favorite scene thieves.

Can you imagine Oliver Queen without Felicity? She's a figment of the TV show but fits so perfectly into the Arrow world that she's managed to outshine canon characters. That's a first rate scene burglar.

2. Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson in Parks & Recreation

Any man who can silence a room merely by mentioning meat or breakfast food is worth his weight in gold. It turns out Ron just so happens to have that much gold. Perfect.

Austin Basis at J.T. on Beauty and the Beast

3. Austin Basis at J.T. on Beauty and the Beast

When J.T. isn't in an episode, the show isn't as fun. He brings levity and comic relief to every situation. The light shines on his lines.

Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones

4. Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones

Her scenes have been few, but whether she's deftly defending the Kingslayer or fighting for her life against a grizzly bear, it's impossible to take your eyes off of Brienne.

Andrew Rannells as Elijah on Girls

5. Andrew Rannells as Elijah on Girls

Every time Hannah's gay ex Elijah pops up on Girls it's safe to say something wild will happen. Whether it's a coke-fueled club night or crashing a weekend at the beach, his fast talking wit helps him steal every scene he's in.

Kristin Bauer van Straten as Pam on True Blood

6. Kristin Bauer van Straten as Pam on True Blood

Pam simply commands attention. When she's on the screen it's impossible not to gaze at her. Our hope is this fan favorite gets her due in the show's final season

Jimmy Smits as Nero on Sons of Anarchy

7. Jimmy Smits as Nero on Sons of Anarchy

He may not even be in SAMCRO, but the character's charisma and moral center cause him to stand out in any scene he shares with Jax. Will these two be adversaries on Season 7?

Jonathan del Arco as Dr. Morales on Major Crimes

8. Jonathan del Arco as Dr. Morales on Major Crimes

It took him 5 seasons of The Closer and one on Major Crimes to become a series regular, but we've been a fan of his quips and quirky comments in the morgue all along.

Sarah Rafferty as Donna on Suits

9. Sarah Rafferty as Donna on Suits

If only every assistant was as revered as Donna. She's so important to the team that they allow her to bring down the bad guy to keep her happy. When Donna enters a scene, the game changes.

Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead

10. Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead

Daryl is another entry written into a fictional world for TV that we couldn't live without. Nothing like his brother, his love for Lil' Asskicker and connection with the survivors won our hearts. If he goes, we go.

Mark Sheppard as Crowley on Supernatural

11. Mark Sheppard as Crowley on Supernatural

Crowley rules a room. He makes an entrance and his snark guarantees even an unpleasant visit will be a good time. His soft spot for the Brothers Winchester finalizes the sale.

Silas Weir Mitchell as Monroe on Grimm

12. Silas Weir Mitchell as Monroe on Grimm

Monroe has all of the personality on Grimm. He has the humor and the successful romance. He's more of a lead than Nick, but he's living on the wrong side of the fence. We don't care. He still steals every scene.

Uzo Aduba as "Crazy Eyes" on Orange is the New Black

13. Uzo Aduba as "Crazy Eyes" on Orange is the New Black

Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren surprised us by not being the one dimensional crackpot we expected, but showing deep and true emotions to her Dandelion. She's a scene stealer and a heart breaker.

Janel Parrish as Mona on Pretty Little Liars

14. Janel Parrish as Mona on Pretty Little Liars

Whether Mona's being crazy or cute, she draws attention. That she's managed to blend in as a member of the A team proves how great of an actress Mona is, because otherwise it's impossible to take your eyes off of her.

Jordan Gavaris as Felix on Orphan Black

15. Jordan Gavaris as Felix on Orphan Black

Sure, the show is about clones and Tatiana Maslany gets the accolades for playing them, but who has to play against them? Felix gets all the best lines and Gavaris' job of treating each clone differently in various scenes hits the mark perfectly.

Gabriel Mann as Nolan Ross on Revenge

16. Gabriel Mann as Nolan Ross on Revenge

Nolan's crazy clothes, unending devotion to Ems and willingness to try just about anything for his friends makes his every move utterly delightful.

TV Fanatic:  The big question, of course, is about Emily’s blackouts. What can you tell me about that and how she ended up in Conrad’s bed!

Sunil Nayar: We’re going to start to kind of examine and then kind of explain what the nature of Emily’s blackouts are over the next couple of episodes back, and we’re going to get a better sense of what makes them happen and she’s going to get a better sense of how much she’s losing control when they do.

So, yeah, it’s a bit of lost time for Emily which is, we think, a great obstacle for her, and then a kind of real palpable consequence of what happened on the boat in episode 10.

TVF: Is this just a natural occurrence or is somebody f**king with her?

SN: I mean, I think that you’ll find out that it’s rooted in something very surprising…you realize that there is a person that these blackouts are specific to, and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find out who it is.

TVF: I assume Niko is still around now that she found the sword. I’m guessing she’s going to be on her own revenge path now?

SN: Just a little bit. Yeah. Absolutely. She’s definitely going to show herself to be a worthy opponent, and definitely you’re going to see that she’s undoubtedly Takeda’s daughter.

TVF: What is coming for Emily and Daniel? Because they’re definitely not together in a sense, but he’s really upped his game as far his own vengeance.

SN: They’re going to be fabulous sparring partners through these episodes, and what we think is wonderful is that what Emily had unwittingly done is she’s created a much stronger Daniel than she ever meant to, because he’s kind of understood how she’s gone about doing things.

Daniel’s a really worthy opponent, and Josh [Bowman] is just bringing it, and the scenes between them are just fantastic and there’s a kind of fire to it because the gloves are off, and that’s one of the things that we’re really excited about for the second half of the season is that a lot of sort of the social decorum, they don’t need it anymore.

Emily doesn’t need it with Victoria. Victoria doesn’t need it with Emily, and they don’t need it with Daniel, and we get to a rawer attitude with the show, which really gives us great things to explore with the characters, and the scenes just have the kind of crackle to them that we love.

TVF: Talk to me about Gail O’Grady being thrown in the mix. That’s going to be a hoot to watch.

SN: Absolutely. She’s great, and again, I think we have some revelations in store for her character that I think are really going to change the game and up the ante for what her presence in the Hampton’s means, and she’s just wonderful, and she brings such a wonderful energy. Just herself and just a different kind of energy…we’ve really loved her addition to the show.

TVF: Patrick and Nolan. I love them together. I love what Justin’s brought to the show. Can you talk about where their relationship is going?

SN: What Justin’s added to the show has been this great depth of his character and it’s also allowed us to really explore what happens to a pretty nice guy when he comes into this world of revenge. With Victoria and Nolan, these are two people who care about him deeply and he is torn between [them].

Obviously, he has a fidelity to his mother but I don’t think that the feelings for Nolan will ever go away because those are also legitimate feelings that are within him. So we have this fascinating character who acts in a kind of immediate honesty, and that’s a rare thing because most people are more inclined to kind of control their impulses, but this is a man who’s in search of the boyhood that he lost, in a sense, because he’s getting to know Victoria, and he’s finding in Nolan someone that he’s never had in his life before.

So he’s a little blown away by the immenseness of the circumstance in which he finds himself, and I think that what we’re going to see going forward is really this fascinating triangle that we’ve created. The kind of triangle that I think most shows don’t have the ability to do, which is a man’s love for his mother and a man’s love for his boyfriend, and how he tries to wrestle with the love of both of those things.

TVF: Olivier Martinez is coming in soon as Margaux’s father. What can you tell me about him and what he’ll add to the show?

SN: Oh yeah. He’s great. You’ve got a couple more weeks to wait for Olivier’s entrance, but we’re so thrilled to have him on the show. He and Madeleine, obviously, work so well together and their characters have a past that we’re going to begin to examine.

In all honestly, it’s funny because when we came up with the character of Margaux, Karine [Vanasse] was pretty much the only person that we thought about. Even when we referred to her father in the season premier, we thought, ‘we’re going to eventually meet this guy. Man, wouldn’t it be great if we could get Olivier Martinez?’ So by the time it came to cast, we’re like, ‘it never hurts to ask,’ and we got super, super lucky that he really took a shine to the role, and he is amazing. We’re really, really lucky to be able to have him.

TVF: I know he has a past with the Grayson’s. Is there a romantic past with Victoria?

SN: There’s a little bit of a romantic past with Victoria and there are questions that have yet to be answered that he brings with him into the present that Victoria will be kind of thrown by, but their dynamic from the past, and certainly in the present, is amazing.

TVF: We didn’t see Charlotte in the mid-season finale but what is her piece coming up?

SN: Especially as we’re getting to the end of the season, Charlotte plays a major, major role in everything that’s going to happen, and Christa [B. Allen]…it’s one of those just sad realities that we put so much in these episodes and somehow they end up too long. And we eventually have to cut a scene or two…she was a victim of episode 13, unfortunately, but I promise you Charlotte has a great story coming up.

TVF: In this last run of episodes, any familiar old faces coming back that might surprise us or be a good part of the story?

SN: That’s a good question. Right off the top of my head, in all honesty, no. We’re just loving the new characters that we have at this moment like Niko and when Olivier comes in as Pascal…we just thought there’s a kind of injection of the new people, but we do have plans for maybe one old person to rear their head. Actually, now that I think about it, we have a plan for a couple of people to rear their heads…we will see some old friends.

TVF: Are you guys feeling pretty good about a season four?

SN: I mean, frankly, I feel great about a season four. I sure hope there’s a season four because we’re certainly building this season to launch us into a season four that will be really something special. So, in my little bubble, I think we will. I sure hope we do.

Revenge airs Sundays at 10/9c on ABC.

Revenge Review: Identity

Tonight's Revenge picked up where the winter finale left, which meant jumping straight out of Conrad Grayson's bed and right into the aftermath of the fire at the gallery.

Revenge Season 3 Episode 14 was actually a pretty great hour right up until the very last scene.

Stevie Grayson, Conrad's first wife appeared, and SURPRISE! She's Jack's mom!

To say that I'm not enthused about the sudden return of Jack's mom is an understatement, mostly because it's completely out of left field. He's looking to move forward with his life with Margaux and Carl Jr. and buy a house and here comes his very own Mommy Dearest to throw a wrench into his plans, I'm sure.

What good can possibly come of her returning now?

She spent how long living right there in the Hamptons as Mrs. Conrad Grayson while her son was raised by Carl Sr. in the Stowaway. She traded her child for a life of privilege.

I just can't with that. There's pretty much no sob story she can give Jack that will make me not hate this story line or her for abandoning her son.

Speaking of moms and sob stories, Victoria tugged at my heartstrings in Revenge Season 3 Episode 13 with the story about how Jimmy Brennan raped her and why she gave Patrick up for adoption. Shame on me for feeling sorry for her.

Tonight Queen V was her usual, manipulative self, telling Patrick that killing Jimmy Brennan wasn't their fault. That nothing bad they've ever done has been their fault.

They're just victims of their world.

She was distraught over this man coming back into her life, I get that. He made passes at her without realizing who she was and then victim-blamed her. I get it.

But Patrick confessed to her that he'd just witnessed something traumatic, something that made him question everything about his life, and she shrugged off both him and his concerns, waving her hand nonchalantly to clear the stench of guilt from the air.

This isn't a woman who takes responsibility for her actions. That's nothing new so why it irked me so much tonight I'm not sure but it did.

Ugh, Victoria!

With those two side stories out of the way, it's time for the main event: Emily's blackouts.

I'm actually sort of loving that Emily Thorne, always pulled together and three steps ahead of everyone, is falling apart a little bit. It's making this revenging more interesting, that's for sure.

Not that any of us really thought she slept with Conrad, but let's all thank the tv gods she didn't so that's not where we're going with the rest of this season.

What she did do, however, was call Stevie Grayson, aka Jack's mom, and ask for her help divorcing Daniel. Stevie G. was all too eager to fly cross country to the defense of a fellow scorned Grayson wife.

How this all went down is a little hazy, so I'm guessing it was something like this:

Emily blacked out and ended up at the Southfork. She confessed to Conrad that Daniel had cheated with Sara and gotten physically violent with her. Conrad urged her to divorce Daniel not just to save Emily but also to destroy Daniel further. "Oh hey, Emily, so, why don't you call up my ex-wife!?" Emily calls her, tells her what she told Conrad, and Stevie G. hops on a plane. Emily sleeps in the suite at the South Fork and Conrad wakes her up the next morning. She's come out of her fugue state and can't remember the conversation with Stevie G.

Conrad likely saw Emily's confession as a way to get Stevie to come back to the Hamptons so he could take Queen V's house away from her. Again.

(Seriously? Enough with fighting over this damn house. I hope when this show is over it falls into the ocean.)

Emily's blackouts are escalating and when she's in one, she has no idea what she's saying. She's not the same person every time she blacks out.

I'm not suggesting multiple personalities, though nothing is too out there for this show, but it's more like, sometimes Emily blacks out and wants to get Aiden killed. Then she wants to sleep with him. Then she wants to tear Nolan to pieces.

She's also apparently cognizant enough of her regular life that she can remember where she's supposed to be and when or else she wouldn't have shown up to Charlotte's birthday party.

Charlotte's birthday party which was all a plot device for Daniel to see Emily and Conrad have a conversation and then ask Charlotte to spy on him while he puts feelers out into the Hamptons community to track Emily's movement.

When did Daniel get so...resourceful? How much is he paying that bellhop for information because it's not like the guy has any friends?

After the party, Emily visits Nolan and discovers that Aiden has been taken when she finds the bag for Takeda's sword. She goes to Takeda's apartment to rescue him and battles Niko. Emily and Niko's fight might have been the best scene of the night, followed closely by her heart to heart with Aiden after Niko left.

She broke down and told him that she couldn't give him the life he deserved. She couldn't give him a family. He tells her that was never important to him and all he ever needed was her and suddenly, I'm very firmly Team Aiden (though I still think the writers are Team Jack for reasons that I do not understand).

Aiden and Emily are broken up for now, but he's probably not for good. Right?

Emily and Nolan contemplate the possibility that whatever happened to Emily's mom is also happening to her, most likely opening the door for her mother to return to help her sort this all out.

Stevie Grayson, Conrad's first wife, arrives in the Hamptons to help Emily get out of her marriage to Daniel. The problem is that Emily can't remember asking her for help with a divorce. Her blackouts are getting worse!

Patrick and Victoria have a Jimmy Brennan-sized issue on their hands and Daniel? Well, he's up to no good. But hey, he's a Grayson through and through, so he learned from the best.

In case you missed the mid-season return, you can watch Revenge online now to get all caught up!

Another party. Another Grayson confrontation to come on Revenge Season 3 Episode 16.

In just over a week, Margaux's father - the notorious Pascal Marchal - will make a surprise appearance in the Hamptons.

What are his plans and how will they affect his daughter, her magazine and Conrad? And will daddy approve of Margaux's relationship with Jack?

At the latest Hamptons shindig, flashbulbs will light up with what appears to be the happy Graysons when Emily, Daniel and Victoria arrive together, fake smiles plastered across their faces. But it doesn't last long, as the two Mrs. Graysons end up having a very public confrontation.

Check out these photos from "Disgrace," which is set to air Sunday, March 23rd on ABC.

While we haven't had a good Red Sharpie Takedown on Revenge in a while, we did say goodbye to two things on Revenge Season 3 Episode 15.

  1. Patrick
  2. Emily's blackouts

Yep. Mama's Boy to the extreme Patrick is gone, and he has Victoria herself to thank for that. Not that he knows that particular detail. And thanks to Aiden, Emily's blackouts are no more.

We think.

Sigh. We'll miss you, Shirtless Justin Hartley.

Down But Not Out

13. Down But Not Out

Only a fool would count out Victoria Grayson. "Struggle" is scheduled to air Sunday, March 16th on ABC.

After last week's death of Jimmy Brennan, Patrick got himself into a bar fight at Jimmy's wake. He's on quite the self-destruction bender and he has no one to blame except Victoria.

When she picked him up at jail, Victoria knew that things had changed not only for Patrick but also between the two of them. So she partnered with Nolan to get Patrick to a safer place.

Like Tuscany.

Using artist Stefano Leone--whom I had to Google because I kept hearing Stefano Langone and being COMPLETELY CONFUSED because WHY would they care about a former American Idol contestant--Victoria and Nolan arranged for Patrick to be offered an apprenticeship to study abroad.

Patrick thought it was the chance of a lifetime and left Vicki a sad voicemail telling her that he was afraid of who he became when he knew she was in distress. This, he felt, might give him the chance to find the goodness inside himself again. And it probably will. As long as he never, ever finds out that Victoria is the benefactor behind his "meager" salary.

In other mother news, Stevie Grayson's history was explained a little more in depth this week, which is great because of all the things Revenge has thrown at us over the years, this timeline is one of the whackiest.

Stevie Grayson was an alcoholic who frequented the Stowaway, had an affair with a married Carl Porter, Sr., got pregnant with Jack (which she discovered during her first stint in rehab), and then hid her entire pregnancy from Conrad.

Carl and his wife, the woman Jack believed to be his mother, raised baby Jack and then had Declan and then Jack's step-mother abandoned them, too.

Jack does not have good luck with women. At all.

She's back, 20 years sober, and writing letters to people selling their homes asking them to turn away full asking price cash offers for Jack Porter because of his hard life.

O...kay?

Something isn't right with Stevie Grayson, and Emily plans to get to the bottom of it now that she has her blackouts under control thanks to Aiden and some good old fashioned torture.

Nolan called in reinforcements when Emily showed up at his house with a knife in her hand and revealed that she'd just repeatedly stabbed the double infinity carving on her porch. Aiden kidnapped Emily just as she was getting ready to lie in wait to kill Conrad Grayson and pulled a Takeda on her.

He just kept almost drowning her until she cracked. And it worked.

During one of her underwater sessions, she had a memory of her father after a fight they'd had. It wasn't so much a fight as a traumatic event where 8 year old Emily walked in on her dad shtupping Victoria and asked him to make her leave.

"I love her, and you're going to love her, too."

Ohhhhh dear.

So now that Emily can blame her father for the blackouts, her loyal people are safe. She posits that she went after them because to her subconscious they represented David Clarke and her mission to exonerate him. Now that she's back to normal, she has a renewed interest in seeing her plan to the finish line.

Unless Daniel Grayson gets to her first...

Our beloved Emily Thorne has found a renewed devotion to her mission on Revenge after finally solving the mystery behind those pesky blackouts which began to threaten her actual loved ones and not those whom she really despises.

How did she achieve this on Revenge Season 3 Episode 15

Why, with the help of one Aiden Mathis, of course.

Aiden managed to break Emily of her blackouts by helping her allow an old memory to surface which proved to be the key to her subconscious takeovers. Nolan also helped Victoria and they both said goodbye to Patrick.

Pascal LeMarchal sure is leaving his mark on the Hamptons, taking the time to woo Victoria Grayson and to devise a plan.

Which includes... what, exactly?

That question will be addressed on Revenge Season 3 Episode 17, as the Graysons attend yet another party with gorgeous dresses, interesting hairstyles - and an ankle tracker.

Who's the mystery man wearing jewelry issued by law enforcement? And why is he so interested in Nolan and Charlotte?

Perhaps it's because of their stunning wardrobe choices.

Summer might be over in the Hamptons, but the drama is certainly heating up on Revenge

Revenge Season 3 is picking up momentum as we head into the final six episodes, and thank all the things for that.

Emily and Victoria's very public showdown on Revenge Season 3 Episode 16 might be one of the best Emily-Victoria fights we've seen yet. And their dresses at the Opera? To. Die. For.

But that's certainly not all that happened tonight...

What sparked this heated confrontation between Victoria and Emily in "Disgrace"

A Public Showdown

13. A Public Showdown

Victoira and Emily have a very public showdown on Revenge. "Disgrace" is the 16th episode of the show's third season.

Just as I had written off Stevie Grayson as an unnecessary addition to the season, Jack's long-lost mother swoops in with a crucial piece of evidence to help our favorites move Emily's Revengenda forward so they're one step closer to clearing David Clarke's name.

Which was, as you know, the entire reason the show existed in the first place and which has been, as you also know, a storyline from which the series has veered greatly over the past season and a half.

If it takes introducing a few new characters to get back to where we started, I'm good with that. And back to where we started seems to be the direction things are headed.

Jack and Nolan, with the help of Javier, Nolan's friend from prison who conveniently landed on Nolan's doorstep and had himself house-arrested to Nolan's house, broke into the archives room at Stevie Grayson's first law firm to steal hard copies of information from the time when Stevie worked there.

Among the information in the files was a handwritten letter acknowledging that the "TWM" for the "DC" plan had been taken care of. Emily doesn't know what TWM stands for, but she does know the handwriting on the letter.

Dare I say it, but we might even get another Red Sharpie takedown before the season ends. Pascal LaMarchal is on the list.

Margaux's father, media mogul Pascal LaMarchal, arrived from Paris at the behest of his daughter to help her rid herself of Conrad. What he found was that he's still carrying a torch for Victoria, making her Conrad's bargaining chip in his financial maneuverings against Pascal.

What Margaux found, thanks to Conrad, is that her father has been cooking the books at Voulez. The magazine has been losing money--$1 million a quarter--but Margaux's reports have all shown that the magazine is being successful. Pascal has been indulging what he sees as one of his daughter's whims.

While I may not have any feelings one way or another about Margaux, something tells me she's not the kind of woman who appreciates being treated like she's just a pretty face. (In other words, she's not Charlotte.)

That, I believe, is at least part of the reason Jack has joined Team Takedown when it comes to Pascal, but his hope that there won't be any collateral damage is a sure sign that there will be. And it'll probably be Margaux.

I'm calling it right now--that will be the catalyst to reunite Jack and Emily.

(Again, for the record, don't yell at me about this. I don't necessarily want Jack and Emily to end up together. I just think that's the way the show is going to end up whenever it ends. Jack and Emily are end game no matter how much you or I don't like it and think it should be different.)

But how can Jack and Emily end up together, you ask? Isn't she married to Daniel?

Nope. Not anymore. And thank the writing gods for that.

Daniel has turned into a bit of a rabid dog and, quite frankly, I wouldn't mind if the character went away for a while or for good. I get that he's angry that Emily lied to him and conned him into marrying her (essentially, she did con him), but for crying out loud, HE SHOT HER.

HE SHOT A PERSON.

Sorry, Daniel, but no.

You don't get to act like you're the victim when YOU SHOT A PERSON. Three times, even! YOU HAVE SHOT THREE PEOPLE! Daniel Grayson should be IN JAIL!

Ahh! Sorry. The rage about this is strong with me.

To get out of the marriage, Emily had to humiliate herself in front of all of the attendees at the opera, leaking her medical records to the press showing that she faked the pregnancy to get Daniel to marry her. When Charlotte showed Victoria the information, Victoria saw that as the moment to perform her own takedown and ran with it.

Unbeknownst to Queen V, she played right into Emily's plan. But Emily doesn't know that Victoria is piecing things together about Emily and her motives for being in the Hamptons, so that's an angle to watch.

What did you think about Revenge Season 3 Episode 16? What do you think of this new information Emily and the gang uncovered? Which woman had the better dress at the opera?

Tonight's Revenge review absolutely must begin with all the snaps to the costuming department on this show. ALL OF THEM.

Emily's dress on Revenge Season 3 Episode 17, or dresses, I should say, as well as Victoria's? If I weren't watching Revenge for the soap-y drama and silly love triangles, the fashion each week would be enough to keep me interested.

But I am watching for the soap-y drama and silly love triangles and tonight's installment definitely brought its A-game in that department.

In order to get closer to Pascal in hopes of learning more about the mysterious letter she found in Stevie's files, Emily throws a Monte Carlo Casino Night to lure him into her grasp. She needs to see if she can trust him before digging deeper about "TWM" but realizes that he's more loyal to Victoria than she originally thought when she discovers a camera recording in his suite.

Pascal LeMarchal is going after Victoria with everything in his arsenal, the culmination of which is telling her that he intends to get closer to Emily to suss out what it is Emily wants with Victoria and why she's still in the Hamptons.

A lesser woman would've folded at merely the accent and swagger oozing out of the French businessman. But not Queen V. Oh, no. Not Victoria.

Having already had her trust shattered by him once, she's not keen on the idea of going there again with Pascal, no matter how diligently he pursues her. That is, at least not until he hands over the deed to her house. A deed which he procured from a pretending to be drunk Conrad Grayson who swindled his ex-wife out of it by guilt-tripping her about her illegitimate son.

For a split second during Conrad's conversation with Stevie, I almost felt sad for Conrad. He almost made it seem like he really had loved her and been sad to lose her once upon a time. Then I remembered that A) he cheated on her and B) this is Conrad and he has no feelings at all except hatred for Victoria and love of money and promptly stopped feeling badly for the man.

I spent the next scene willing Stevie not to turn to the bottle to calm her nerves after the encounter. I'm glad she didn't go there, and that Jack saw how she almost did, but I hate that the writing is on the wall for her to exit Jack and Carl's life by way of booze. Again.

At this point it's like Jack is in this show just to lose the people who come into his life.

First Fauxmanda, now probably his mother, and maybe Margaux, too, if Daniel has his way. Seriously. Poor Jack!

And I wish someone would punch Daniel Grayson in his smug face.

He's nearly as good at manipulating people as his mother and father are, which I suppose is all we should expect from the sole fruit of that union. Seeing the way he pulled Jack into his conversation with Margaux, and used Charlotte to do it, after telling Charlotte he'd keep Jack out of things, really, truly made me hate him even more than I thought possible.

If Conrad and Victoria are vindictive it's because they're working their world like a giant game of Chess. Daniel Grayson has the air of a whiny, bratty tantrum being thrown wafting around every scheme he cooks up.

While tonight's machinations did net them Voulez again, Daniel used his contact more to oust Conrad than to free the magazine of Pascal. Pascal has been funding the operation! If he goes, knowing that the magazine is bleeding money, how can the two of them expect to make it a successful venture?

(Why am I thinking so thoroughly about the potential success of a fictional magazine?)

An Emily-shaped wedge has been driven between Jack and Margaux by Daniel, and at the casino night, Jack begins hammering away and driving the Daniel-shaped wedge further between them.

He doesn't trust Daniel, and for good reason. Margaux doesn't even know Emily as anything more than an acquaintance and doesn't trust her probably just because she's a woman.

Ugh. Can the impending doom of this relationship be even more trite and telegraphed? Please, writers, prove me wrong! I want you to prove me wrong and make me eat these words I'm writing!

Aiden's return makes it seem as if perhaps Jack and Margaux will work out after all and Aiden and Emily will eventually rekindle their old romance, however Aiden says he's not here for Emily. He's here because the mysterious "TWM" in Pascal's handwriting is his father:

Trevor Warren Mathis.

Dun dun dunnnn....the plot thickens! Again!

What did you think of Revenge season 3 episode 17? How many times did you want to punch Daniel tonight? Which lady's dress was better?

Wait... what?!?

The main topic of the interview was VanCamp's role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but she spilled the above information when mentioning the various emotional states she's been through while filming the Revenge Season 3 finale.

Jack's death would definitely drive Emily to tears. He's her childhood love and knowing that he and Amanda's baby son would end up an orphan could make all of us cry.

Margaux Le Pascal

2. Margaux Le Pascal

Would Emily cry for Margaux? Maybe, if she knew that Jack was once again losing someone he loved.

Victoria Grayson

3. Victoria Grayson

Tears? Well, perhaps tears of joy because we can't imagine Emily shedding anything else if her mortal enemy found an untimely end. However she might be a little disappointed if she didn't have a hand in it herself.

Charlotte Grayson

4. Charlotte Grayson

Emily and her half-sister have never been particularly close and since Declan died last season, Charlotte hasn't had much to do other than dabble in her parents' affairs. Charlotte's demise wouldn't make us happy but we doubt we or Emily would need a Kleenex to get through it.

Aidan Mathis

5. Aidan Mathis

If Emily's current on again / off again love interest didn't survive the season it might just push Ms. Thorne right over the edge. We can only imagine the type of Revenge she'd be looking to inflict on the guilty parties.

Conrad Grayson

6. Conrad Grayson

Conrad's made more than his share of enemies. It would be easier to make a list of who wouldn't want to see him dead. Even though he's occasionally been nice to Emily, we'd be surprised if his demise would drive her to tears.

Daniel Grayson

7. Daniel Grayson

Emily and her ex-hubby have been anything but loving since he found out she faked a pregnancy and then shot her. There's certainly no love lost between these two these days but if he were to die a horrible death, Emily might just need wipe away a tear. Maybe even two.

Nolan Ross

8. Nolan Ross

Oh no! That quote says "sobbing" doesn't it. If Emily's best pal met his maker, she wouldn't be the only one crying. We'd need an entire box of tissues to get through the episode and the 5 stages of grief afterwards wouldn't be pretty.

Which character is mostly likely to meet his or her Maker?

Victoria Grayson will be out for "Blood" in Revenge 3 Episode 18.

In the following sneak peek, we see Victoria pay a visit to our old friend Mason Treadwill, who is sarcastically honored to be graced with the presence of the Hamptons "queen."

But his expression changed mightily when Victoria asked what he knows about Emily. Will the duplicitous author open up about the secrets he's held for so long?

Check out the sneak peek now and tune in Sunday at 10/9c to find out:

Elsewhere on the episode, look for investigations into Pascal to lead Emily and Aiden to uncover some long buried family secrets of their own.

Such as?!? We can't tell you now.

But we can encourage you to watch Revenge online via TV Fanatic if you need to catch up on Season 3.

Revenge Review: Blood Is Thicker

Just when the walls begin to close in on Emily Thorne, she finds a way to push one of them down and make herself a new exit.

It's interesting to watch the wheels in her brain start to turn as she figures out just how it is she'll extricate herself from yet another situation where she could be found out.

Revenge Season 3 Episode 18 saw Emily Thorne doing just that as Mason Treadwell threatened to spill his secrets to Victoria Grayson in exchange for a fancy brunch. It was quite the spectacle.

Victoria Grayson wants to get to the bottom of Emily Thorne's extended stay in the Hamptons, so she turns to the one man who might know: Mason Treadwell.

We met Mason Treadwell in Revenge Season 1. He authored the book on David Clarke, a best-seller, which featured interviews with a young Amanda Clarke while she was in foster care. He learned the FauxManda/Emily secret and, in exchange for exclusive rights to Emily's story about clearing her father's name by taking down the Graysons, agreed to go to prison.

But why continue to serve time for a crime he didn't commit when he can parlay Victoria's need for information into an early release, right?

Once Mason decided to go with "Door Number 'G,'" Emily and Nolan helped Mason Treadwell fake his own death so they could sneak him out of prison. I can't decide if this is the most implausible thing ever to happen on this show or not.

How, exactly, did Nolan Ross come to be driving the Coroner's van which ushered Mason Treadwell's body away from the prison? Will there not be any sort of follow-up on why the body didn't arrive at the morgue? Did they find a dead body to deliver to the morgue in Mason's place?

Why do I even care enough to be thinking those questions when this episode was clearly a set-up for the inevitable Jack-Emily pairing?

Oh yes, that's a thing that is going to be happening, Revenge-fans. The writing on the wall is ridiculously clear.

Jack continues to entangle himself in Emily's revengenda, and sure, he has as much reason as she does to want to take down the Grayson family. But at some point, his involvement has become about more than just his own personal revenge. He said as much when he told his mother that after dropping her in L.A. he'd be coming back to the Hamptons to help Emily.

And then came the most glaringly obvious sign that Jack and Emily are getting together since Emily VanCamp revealed someone was dying in the finale.

[to Jack] Maybe Daniel's right. You love Emily, don't you?

Stevie

Mother does know best, you guys. Even if she's been boozing it up because the Hamptons made her do it. (Or because Victoria is an evil, evil woman. EVIL.)

And then there were the very, very clear indicators that a Margaux-Daniel pairing are in the works and while those two make more sense than Season 1 Daniel and Emily or Margaux and Jack, could the writers BE any more obvious?

I'll give Daniel credit for the conversation he had with Pascal where he told the LeMarchal patriarch that he wasn't aware of his daughter's talents and that he hoped she wasn't falling for someone beneath her because her father never told her of her worth. That was actually a beautiful few lines Daniel uttered to Pascal, but that's about the extent of my kindness toward Daniel.

I really hoped Margaux would be smarter than that. That she would be able to see through this sort of nonsense.

Sigh. I guess not.

The final sign that Jack and Emily are being written together is Emily's rekindled romance with Aiden.

After helping Aiden in London by visiting his mother and urging him to give his mother some peace about her family, the two had quite the reunion in the beach house. It was pretty intense, honestly, with her breathlessness and his "I missed you, too."

It was a little too intense, which tells me that Aiden Mathis isn't long for the Hamptons and is probably the character we're set to lose--permanently--at the end of this season.

With Stevie Grayson's words ringing in his ears and Margaux and Daniel becoming more than just business partners, Jack will be the one to comfort Emily in her time of grief.

If I were a betting woman, I'd throw down some dollars on this one.

I would also throw down dollars never to see Victoria rubbing noses with Pascal, playfully or otherwise. (Please tell me you saw that and were as disturbed by how juvenile and ludicrous that was!)

Pascal LeMarchal is completely uninteresting to me so I can't even be bothered to want to care at this point.

I also can't bring myself to care that Charlotte is dating the convict living with Nolan or that Nolan is having business partner troubles with him. Or that Charlotte is going to take the MyClone plan to Daniel to get her boyfriend whose name I can't even remember financed by her brother.

There are entirely too many subplots happening right now with so few episodes left in the season. Let's get on with the Revenging already, amiright?

OH LOOK! Red Sharpie Takedown coming next week! Our TV prayers are being answered.

What did you think of Revenge Season 3 Episode 18? Did you think Mason Treadwell was really dead? Do you think a Jack-Emily pairing is coming?
